[언노운 바이브 – 더 갈라] 아트페어 프리뷰

‘꿈꾸는 영혼’ 전시, 서울 안다즈 강남에서 열려

2025년 9월 19일부터 21일까지, 압구정역 인근의 서울 안다즈 강남이 아트 갤러리로 변신한다. 이번 행사는 “꿈꾸는 영혼”이라는 제목으로 열리며, KB페이와 전자신문이 후원하는 <언노운 바이브 – 더 갈라> 아트페어의 일환이다.

<언노운 바이브>에는 올해는 40여 개 갤러리와 300명 이상의 작가가 참가해 한자리에서 다양한 현대미술 작품을 선보인다. 지난해에는 약 2만 명의 관람객이 찾으며 서울 최대 규모의 아트페어 중 하나로 자리매김했다.

주최사인 시제포㈜(대표 김윤식)가 진행하는 본 아트페어는 본 전시뿐 아니라 다양한 부대 프로그램도 마련했다. 한 달 전부터 시작되는 프리뷰 전시, 네트워킹 파티와 프라이빗 쇼케이스, 명품 브랜드 팝업스토어 등이 운영된다. 또한 동시에 강남 도산대로에서는 VIP 페스타 파티가 열려 조은숙, 최윤영 등 인기 연예인들이 도슨트로 함께 참여할 예정이다.바

올해의 하이라이트는 세계적으로 주목받고 있는 네오초현실주의 작가 엘리다니(Elee Danny)의 9점의 작품을 만날 수 있다는 점이다. 10월에 런던 사치갤러리와 파리 루브르박물관 오사카의 일본최대미술관등에서 동시에 전시되는 작품중 일부가 이번 전시에 출품되어 이번 아트페어의 국제적 위상을 입증한다.

이번 출품작중 대표작 은 극사실주의와 초현실주의의 무의식 상징성이 결합된 작품으로, 네오초현실주의의 대표작으로 평가받는다. 엘리다니는 최근 인터뷰에서 “예술이 약자의 삶과 존엄을 회복하는 역할을 해야 한다”고 강조했다. 그는 인류의 80%가 제국의 퇴행과 강자의 독선 속에서 살아왔다고 지적하며, “예술과 문화 교류와 소통을 통한 사랑만이 왜곡된 세상을 바로잡을 수 있다”고 말했다.

<언노운 바이브>는 세계적인 작가와 신진 작가를 동시에 조명하며, 현대미술과 라이프스타일을 결합한 새로운 경험을 선사한다. 관람객들은 창의성, 럭셔리, 사회적 교류가 어우러진 축제를 경험하게 될 것이며, 서울이 글로벌 아트 허브로서의 위상을 강화하는 계기가 될 것이다.

-“UNKNOWN VIVES” Exhibition Opens at Andaz Gangnam

Seoul, South Korea — September 2025

From September 19 to 21, 2025, the Andaz Gangnam Hotel near Apgujeong Station will be transformed into an art gallery for the “Dreaming Soul” exhibition, part of the Art Fair. Sponsored by KB Pay and the Electronic Newspaper, the fair brings together more than 40 galleries and over 300 artists, showcasing a wide spectrum of contemporary works in one space. Last year’s edition attracted nearly 20,000 visitors, establishing it as one of Seoul’s largest art fairs.

Organized by SEES4 Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Yoon-sik), the fair offers more than exhibitions. Visitors can enjoy preview showcases, networking parties, private presentations, and luxury brand pop-up stores, which began one month prior. Adding to the excitement, a VIP Festa Party will be held simultaneously on Dosan-daero in Gangnam, featuring appearances by celebrities such as Cho Eun-sook and Choi Yun-young.

The highlight of this year’s fair is the presentation of nine works by Elee Danny, a world-renowned Neo-surrealist artist. Several of his pieces will also be exhibited concurrently at the Saatchi Gallery in London and at Japan’s largest art museum in Osaka, as well as at the Louvre in Paris, underscoring the fair’s international significance.

Among them, Waiting for Mom is considered a representative work of Neo-surrealism, blending extreme realism with unconscious symbolism and surrealist imagery. In a recent interview, Elee Danny emphasized: “Art should play a role in restoring life and dignity for the vulnerable.” He noted that “80% of humanity has lived under the regression of empires and the self-righteousness of the powerful. Only love—through art, cultural exchange, and communication—can correct a distorted world.”
